Our 1st Rhurbarb harvest!

Andrew gathered some juicy rhubarb stems at the start of the week and Mamma G, who also has 2 slightly older plants in her garden, did the same. The stems were mixed together and the Gault's had their first Rhubarb tart during the week (they both had custard - I don't like it, mad I know). So hurrah another new experience and an enjoyable one at that!

Happy weekend xxx

  1. That looks delicious, and I'd have mine with custard as well!
Joe, my plot neighbour, gave me a few sticks yesterday as mine need a couple more weeks or so. Flighty xx

  3. I do miss rhubarb. Always grew it in our garden when I was a kid. Rhubarb crumble, or strawberry and rhubarb pie, with the requisite custard of course! :P Your rhubarb tart looks absolutely lovely!

  12. Hi Carrie, you have saved my pudding, believe it or not, we are doing well with one plant on the lottie - come and admire my lovely rhubarb, and my tiny PSB - and I picked the rhubarb and started stewing it, then decided it might not be ripe and I might poison the kids, so thanks to your lovely advice, I know we are in season!

Hope you are doing ok now, really missing you around the lottie.
