Garden Bloggers Bloom Day

December Blooms from around the plots. Only the far right 2 are from mine. I do hope, given that it is the depths of depressing winter, that I can get away with a toy flower I saw pinned to someone's shed. It made me smile and I hope it does the same for you xxx

For more blooms visit Carol at 'May Dreams Gardens' and follow the Mr Linky.

  1. Sometimes a gardener's gotta do what a gardener's gotta do, to get some blooms for Bloom Day!

  5. That little smileyface flower is quite interesting. I wonder if they can get it to rebloom? But you have noting to be ashamed of with that cyclamen. It looks pretty lush (and pretty pretty).

  6. Beautiful cyclamen. The little stylized flower from the shed and the little viola also with a face -- both made me smile. Thanks.

  7. Hi Carrie, I'm envious of your cyclamen. I had one in a pot for three years. I think I left it outside too long this fall, and it died shortly after I brought it inside. I'm still hoping it may regrow, but so far it's not looking too promising.

Lovely December blooms - I think you can get away with any blooms you can find for a bloom day post - especially in December! I like your photo collage - very pretty!

  8. Nice pictures Carrie! And you still have lots of flowers in/near your allotment. Is the yellow one in the right corner a Primula? I like the bold color, very cheerful.

  9. oooohhhhhh thank you everyone!! Isn't Carol's Day a great way to meet people and have a little nosey at what's going on elsewhere?!!

Nell Jean - you're right the viola does have a little sweet face, like something out of 'Alice in Wonderland' x

Garden Girl - I am terrible at keeping flowers alive. Touch of death but 2 of mine came back to life this winter so there's hope. x

Yes Ellie - the yellow bud is a primula (the hubby is not a fan, but I love them).

  12. Well I think all sheds could use a cute little flower pin! I think I'll put one on mine and see if hubby notices!

    Nice collage Carrie!

  13. I put little red plastic apples on our apple tree at the weekend. They were old christmas decorations. Andrew did notice and thought it was funny - I would love to see our chairmans face though, he's jealous of our 'real' ones from afar he may go mad that we had 2 crops, haha xx

  14. I like the two cheeky ones, top middle and bottom left, which make me smile!
I've no plot flowers now except a couple of artificial ones tucked away inside the shed!

  16. Oh I am thrilled that I made you smile, I thought scorn would be put upon me for daring to use a fake flower, haha. This has been the best post for lovely comments! New and old friends - it truly feels like Christmas xx Thanks everyone xxxxx

  17. Hello Carrie - I'm new to Garden Bloom day and loved the flowers you had in bloom - its interesting to see what other folks in the UK have in their gardens at this time of year. If you've had weather like us today its all probably under snow right now.
