Plot plan 24a

Patience is a virtue that has just about been completely depleted in this house. We're getting ants-y; even Maggie can't stand still and she attacked the rug this morning in a cry for help. It's the weather see, it's just not cooperating and we can't get to the Lottie or get planting seeds yet when it's so damp, cold, windy and frosty/snowy.

There is of course the fact that I am sleeping all night and practically all day these days. I have utter exhaustion and finding out it's March already was a shock. I reckon I have slept the equivalent of a month this year already. It's not good but I see the Dr in a couple of days again - fingers crossed for help and answers.

So what can one do when one is so very impatiently waiting for the bloody weather to get it's act together? One plans, schemes and makes colourful drawings of what is going to happen once someone changes the sky and injects me with dangerously nuclear grade caffeine.

I desire to be a tornado of productivity.

Okay, so this isn't the best plan I have ever drawn but under the circumstances of super sleepiness and thus worse double vision than usual, I'm rather pleased it makes sense at all. Naturally it is very much subject to change ;)

Much love
Carrie

  2. It's a lovely plan. I've made a few scribbles myself, but mine's nowhere near as nice. I'm almost at the point of sowing some tomato seeds. The chillies are already up. I do hope the doctor is able to help, and I hope that the longer spring days help as well. Look after yourself Carrie, CJ xx

  3. Ahh CJ you must have a greenhouse then - lucky! We never grow tomatoes any more (we used to get wee plastic greenhouses for that each year), they are so cheap when in season. But chillies we tried and it really needed a lot more sustained heat than we could provide = big sad face.
Hugs and love to you xxx

  4. Oh. Neat. I should get out my colored pencils. I just scribble in No.2 pencil and make little notes to indicate if there is color. I could even make lists in color to indicate whether it is an important list or not.

  5. Oh dear, how can you not grow tomatoes? Yum, yum, yum! We don't have good weather for growing tomatoes either, but I still try every year and about once every two or three years I'm rewarded with a bumper crop :-) I'm glad you're off to the doctor soon and hopefully an answer will be found.

After two months the swelling and pain in my feet and hands is nearly gone and it turns out that much of my depression, pain and stiffness has been caused by an inflammatory disorder. Treatment is on-going, but I'm hopeful! Take care, lovely girl.

    1. We find it easier to buy in season (and cheap) toms as and when we need them, rather than face the fight with aphids etc.

I'm so happy that the swelling and pain has eased and I sincerely hope that getting on top of your inflammatory disorder will take much of those sad and hopeless thoughts of depression.

Keep up that chin and remain hopeful - I shall too.
      Hugs Carrie x

  6. Generally we don't start sowing 'til the latter half of March so no rush. The coloured pencils were out again - I bet they were happy

    1. Neither do we Sue, I'm just an anxious mess these days and worrying about everything.
My coloured pencils and I have a special bond ;) xx

  7. The plan looks good. As we can't do anything about the weather just accept whatever it does and act accordingly. Gardeners have to be patient, it's not worth being one if you can't be. Take care, Flighty xx

    1. Thank you :) I'm just disappointed that the weather recently has been good only when Andrew is at work - the gods are playing with us. But I think this weekend will have some windows.

  8. Lovely plan. I have planned my head off, already made my mistake with planting beans out and having them beaten down by sleet, now am just growing some seedlings inside, but it is still only March and just like yours, my patience is in short supply :)

    1. Arghhhh, to those lost first baby beans - shaking my fist at the weather gods! We always sow undercover at this time of year - you can never tell when the last frosts will be. So any windowsill, shed window or greenhouse is your friend these days! So good on, you can plant seeds now ;)

  9. I'm not sure I'd come up with half some competent a plan with eyes working fine. You have the benefit of experience and Andrew ;-) So I'm sure what adjustments needed will result in a productive plot.
