Colour in the Hedgerow

Just a photo of the hedgerow by our shed...

AUTUMN - Carrie Gault

If the day and night are such that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal, - that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt they exist. We soon forget them. They are the highest reality… The true harvest of my daily life is something as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little star-burst caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.

  5. I haven't visit Ireland although I hope to one day, but I remember the hedgerows in England. Mixed with all kinds of different trees and shrubs....must be as beautiful in fall as they were in spring.

  6. It is so nice to see you posting again, even though I'm going backwards.

I do love the picture and these words from Thoreau, "All nature is your congratulation..."

This is exactly how I feel when I take my walks or just on my porch and watch life in action:~)

I love to have visitors but LOVE it even more when they leave a little nugget of happiness behind in the form of a comment. I thank you for taking the time to send a little joy my way xx
