So here it is - the grand unveiling of 'the plan'

The plan
You can tell Andy is a trained archaeologist can't you, everything is in perfect scale :)

The real thing

So any thoughts, questions, ideas???? Please do send them our/ Andrew's way :)

P.S. I am always honest on my blog so, well I've had another nervous breakdown. Happened on Tuesday; Wednesday and yesterday are a bit of a blur and today I have the worst headach, terrible concentration and just need sleep (but I promised I'd post this so..).
I haven't been out, I have barely spoken and naturally I've not been well enough to visit the lottie. I hope to go this weekend and have lots of photos and stories. I just want to thank you, dear friends and visitors for your continued support. I'll be okay - right?
Sorry I haven't been reading your blogs and commenting as usual, but now you know why xx

  1. Take care. I know you must feel things are the pits today but you'll get through. And thanks for sharing your new garden plan - proves your man's a very clever chap... seats in the evening sun, pretty Japanese cherry and quince visible from the house windows and patio, tall rustley grasses behind the seat. Ooo... wonder what you'll choose for the focal point? Something beautiful and Japanese... maybe a lovely tall stone covered with lichen and with ferns and moss growing at the base.

Have lots of fun making your perfect place to bring you calm and peace.

  4. My thoughts are with you Carrie. Here's a thought... I'm going to have another 'dogblog' at the end of September, so have a think about taking a picture of Maggie for me? (actually you are one of the first people I've told) - apart from Buddy that is! xxx Matron

  6. Yes. You will be OK. Sleep peacefully, and get better. There is a garden awaiting you. The nearest I'll get to pregnant ;>)

  7. Went back to explore the plan - I can see you sitting there peacefully on your hidden bench (safe from rude, intrusive people who yell at you, oh yes), with Maggie lolling at your feet in the sun. Birds singing in the trees. And the fragrance of --- (pot of freesias here) wafting over you. And what fun to choose that focal point!

  10. So sorry to hear that, Carrie. My thoughts are with you, hon. This week hasn't been so great for me, either. Yet life does go on, sometimes beautiful and peaceful in spite of the pain. Sending you a virtual hug and a wish for you to find your center and regain equilibrium...

    You are loved.

  11. Hi Carrie, I hope you are feeling better now and that you managed to get to the allotment.
Andrews plans look great and very professional. The hidden seating will be so lovely, try to plant lots of calming plants there like Lavender, Lemon Verbena, night scented stocks etc, even in pots if there is no room in the plan.

You said to post any comments !! I have a big one, beware of the Bamboo as it's VERY invasive. My neighbours bamboo is coming under his fence and into my flower beds and I really don't want it there as it takes over. I love to hear the rustle of it in the breeze and I have some in a pot, but in the ground it's a pest.

I hope you have a better week.
    Take care
    M xx

  12. Carrie, you've always been an enthusiastic supporter of anything I do over at my little blog, so no worries about not visiting for a while. I've enough goodwill from you for it to keep running for years, my friend. :)

I hope you can get out to the lottie, and that you get to chill out there in a way that's right for you. I agree with you. I think you'll do just fine. We're all counting on it! :D
