Yes, I heard that on the news and grinned broadly too! Actually I was more surprised that they didn't grow veg at the Palace already. No doubt they grow it at the country places, but the gardens in London are huge too.
Islandgardener - I'd like to think Charles had been whinging at his Mother like a teenager for ages about this and has finally got what he wanted! More likely though it is a mixture of publicity stunt and the new young gardener worker there. The Obama's probably did have something to do with it now I think of it. I still can't believe Michelle touched the Queen on the back - not the done thing but she got away with it!
EB - I reckon they do grow their own up in Scotland etc. Maybe they have just learnt from us that Allotmenteering Rocks?
